What’s New on Paramount+ in January 2023

I used to think Paramount+ would only be defined as the home of Star Trek—in addition to the catalogue series, it’s the only place to see newer spinoffs like Discovery, Strange New Worlds, Picard, and Prodigy. But over the past year, another burgeoning franchise: The Tyler Sheridan Television Universe.

The past 12 months or so have seen the launch of four Sheridan-produced shows on the streamer, including two prequels to the smash hit Yellowstone in 1883 and 1923, the darkly funny fish-out-of-water drama Tulsa King, and the Jeremy Renner-led crime series Mayor of Kingstown—the second season of which drops Jan. 15.
And that’s not all! Later on in 2023, Paramount+ will premiere Sheridan’s Lioness, about a team of anti-terrorist government agents. I think we can all agree, that’s a shitload of Sheridan.
When does Wolf Pack premiere on Paramount+?
In case you were worried that the prolific creator is holding the network executives hostage or something, January will also mark the return of Sarah Michelle Gellar to television some two decades after Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended (I’m not counting her interim stints on Ringer or The Crazy Ones, which were both quite bad and quickly canceled) with a starring role in Wolf Pack (Jan. 26), from the team that brought you MTV’s Teen Wolf. Recognizing on which side her bread is buttered, the show involves supernatural hijinks. You can probably guess what kind.
