Everyone's initial thought is, ‘What is neuralink?’
The Neuralink device enables you to connect your mind to your home computer so that you can operate it with your thoughts. Your attention has probably also wandered to the topic of who invented this ground-breaking technology. Elon Musk, one of the richest men in the world, and Max Hodac, a famous scientist about whom I know nothing, are the two founders of the company.
He said that he started one of them to create a sort of interaction between artificial intelligence and human brains.
Elon Musk created the brain interface technology business named Neuralink. This gadget was created so that it could be inserted into a person's brain, where it could track and maybe stimulate the activities of the brain. According to Elon Musk, the technology is more like a ‘FitBit in your brain.’

Although Musk likes to boast about his technological vision for the future, there are some potential near-term medical applications for the technology.
The Wall Street Journal was the first to talk about Neuralink's existence back in 2017, so this was the first time that people heard about this company.
The business started showing off the gadgets in 2019, when Musk and other Neuralink executives displayed their technology in a livestreamed presentation.
There are two parts to the equipment created by Neuralink. The first part is about implanting a chip with electrodes flowing into someone's brain inside their skull.
The chip is the size of a penny. A group of tiny wires that are about 20 times thinner than a human hair fan out from the chip and enter the patient's brain.
The wires consist of 1,024 electrodes, enabling the device to monitor brain activity and, in theory, provide electrical stimulation of the brain. This data is transmitted wirelessly by the chip to computers, where researchers can analyze it.
The second part is that a robot could put the chip in autonomously.
It's just like a sewing machine; the robot works by forcing flexible wires coming from a Neuralink chip into a person's brain with a strong needle.
The robot is about eight feet tall, and Woke Studios created its design while Neuralink is working on the technology that powers it.
The proof-of-concept demonstration showed how the chip could precisely predict where Gertrude's limbs were located when she walked on a treadmill and track brain activity while the pig sniffed about for food. Musk said that the pig had lived with the chip in her head for two months.
According to Newcastle University's Andrew Jackson, a specialist in neural interfaces, 1,024 channels are not particularly outstanding, but the electronics used to transmit them wirelessly are cutting edge, and the robotic insertion is very good.
He said, ‘This is good engineering, but poor neurology.’
As most brain interfaces now used on test animals include wires protruding out through the skin, Jackson told Insider after the 2020 presentation that the wireless relay from the Neuralink chip may possibly have a significant impact on the wellbeing of animal test subjects in science.
In April 2021, Neuralink took their animal demonstrations a step further by showcasing a monkey controlling a video game with its thoughts.
Neuralink inserted one of their devices inside a pig named Gertrude in 2020.
Neuroscientists don't think much of Elon Musk's claim that Neuralink can allow monkeys to operate computers using their brain signals.
Neuralink successfully inserted the chip into the head of a monkey; Elon Musk said this in a 2019 presentation. He added, ‘Just FYI, a monkey has proven able to control a computer with its brain,’ which seemed to catch Neuralink president Max Hodak off guard.
Yeah, a question is also on everybody's mind: since it is surgically implanted in someone's head, can it lead to any brain injuries? The answer is no because it is done by a machine, and the machine will be 100 percent accurate.
Another question going through your mind is: will it overheat due to being a tech gadget and all? The answer is no because it is not doing much work; it is just sending information from our brain to whatever device we are using. So the only thing that will overheat is the device, not your phone.
