How to Get Rid of TikTok Notifications
It is easy to disable notifications from TikTok. In the app, go to your profile and follow these steps:
- Tap the three bars menu icon in the top right corner.
- Tap Settings and Privacy in the pop-up menu.
- Under Content & Display, tap Notifications
- Toggle the switches off for the notifications you no longer want to receive
Personalize Your TikTok Notifications Anytime
The settings options that TikTok offers for notifications allow you to personalize what notifications you get instead of just all or none. These options include likes, comments, direct messages, TikTok Now, and more. This makes it easy to be notified for the things you want, but not be overwhelmed by lots of notifications.
For example, if you’re not an avid user of TikTok Now, you can turn notifications for Now off, but keep the rest of your notifications for the app on. This helps you customize your experience on TikTok in a way that makes the most sense to you.
There is also a button on the bottom of the Notifications menu that says Email Notifications. Tap that button to customize the emails you get from TikTok. This allows you to control not only what notifications you get, but how you get them: whether they are phone push notifications or emails.
The best part is that you can go into your settings and change your notifications at any time on the app if you change your mind.
