Yeelight Pushes Matter Smart Home Integrations at CES 2023
Reading Time: 2 minutesYeelight is integrating Matter into its 2023 lineup and rolling out Matter support to existing hardware, too.
Yeelight has extended its awesome array of smart home lighting devices at CES 2023, launching several new products, including the Cube Smart Lamp.
Furthermore, following the full release of Matter towards the end of 2022, Yeelight’s new products will strengthen its integration with the new smart home standard, which is a bonus and helps keep Yeelight at the top of the smart lighting game.
Yeelight Launches New Cube Smart Lamp & New Yeelight Station App
Yeelight’s new Cube Smart Lamp will become one of the company’s first Matter-certified devices in the Yeelight Fun range, allowing users to pick and choose from three different connectable unit styles: Spot, Matrix, and Panel. You can combine the cubes into a customizable array, where you can display different graphics. When combined, the whole Cube Smart Lamp looks great.
Furthermore, Yeelight is also launching a new app to manage Yeelight Fun smart tech: the Yeelight Station app. The all-new app will improve integration options, functionality, and management for the entire Fun range.
Yeelight Pushes Matter Integrations to Yeelight Pro
Although Matter’s release was delayed, when it finally launched in November 2022, it arrived to acclaim. The much-waited-upon smart home standard developed by Google, Amazon, Apple, and other major tech names will make smart home integration much easier, and it’s clear why Yeelight is opting to integrate the new standard into its products as fast as possible.
Aside from the launch of the new Cube Smart Lamp with Matter integrations, Yeelight will bring Matter to its Yeelight Pro range. The Yeelight Pro range is designed to cover whole-house smart light designs, and using Matter will make it much easier to integrate Yeelight products into an existing setup.
Yeelight is set to push Matter support to its entire Yeelight Pro range with an OTA update before the end of Q2 2023, a boon for anyone using or considering using Yeelight in their smart home.
Yeelight Pushes Smart Home Credentials Further
Yeelight is already one of the most popular smart home lighting options. The introduction and rollout of Matter for its 2023 products, plus pushing out Matter support for existing smart lighting devices, will only push the company further.
