Roku Rolls Out Its Own Lineup of Smart TVs at CES 2023

Roku is moving in an unsurprising direction. At CES 2023 in Las Vegas, the streaming platform announced its own Roku-branded TVs.
New Roku Select and Roku Plus Series Televisions
All the new Roku TVs, announced via press release, are both designed and made by Roku.
There are 11 models in the Roku Select and Roku Plus Series ranging from 24 inches to 75 inches. There will be both HD and 4K options.
Each of the HD offerings will offer Roku Voice Remotes. The more expensive Plus Series TVs will feature Roku Voice Remote Pros. Both remotes offer a number of popular features like Private Listing and Find My Remote.
To complement the TVs, the company also unveiled a new Roku TV wireless soundbar for easy and wire-free home theater options.
The company also unveiled a premium OLED TV reference designed for Roku TV partners.
All of the TVs will arrive in Spring 2023. Prices will range from $119 to $999.
Roku Is Moving Into the Wider Smart Home Arena
While there are always some surprises at CES, this is definitely not one of them.
Moving into self-branded TVs makes a lot of sense for the company and can help expand its foothold on the streaming market. Back in 2021, Amazon unveiled its own branded lineup of smart TVs featuring Alexa integration and more to complement its own streaming devices.
In September 2022, Roku also took a big step into the broader smart home arena. The company unveiled a number of products including a floodlight camera, indoor and outdoor cameras, a 360-degree indoor camera, video doorbell, smart bulbs, smart lights strips, and indoor/outdoor smart plugs.
All of those products are compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
Time for Roku TV
By adding self-branded TVs to its arsenal, Roku continues to make a push for more dominance in the smart home. It will be interesting to see if the TVs become as popular as the company’s streaming devices.
