Why Next Winter?
The Waiting is Always the Hardest Part
Opening –
When Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 1 was announced, there were a lot of people that expected and half expected the game to not have done so well seeing as how it was very much incomplete as it still is today.
I, like every other gamer out there, played through the first part of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Passing judgement on the game as we played it and were very much amazed at the job the developers did.
Now, some of us have played and beaten Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion. I haven't, but probably so for those who have. Crisis Core is a prequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake and it tells the story of Zack Fair, a Soldier 2nd class.
Incidentally, this game came out on the PSP back in the day but it wasn't nowhere as good as it is now. I got the game on my PS5 and I've played a little bit of it, it's pretty good. I can't wait to delve back into it.
Which now brings me to Part 2, Rebirth. This aspect of the game won't be seen for a long time but there is a silver lining of sorts which I'll discuss now.
Part 2, Rebirth –
When I first heard when this was coming out, I was over the moon. Part 2, Rebirth is coming out next winter between December and January. Now, from what I gathered, much of the game will cover Kalm and I hope Junon.
I hope double materia growth weapons and armor come back in this and part 3 because I think it would be good to play with maxed out materia, I believe playing with maxed out magic materia makes battles easier not to mention its just less we have to do later.
Rebirth will pick up in Kalm with Cloud telling the story of Sephiroth as he met him back in Crisis Core Reunion, it'll be an almost complete mirror image of what took place in Crisis Core Reunion.
What I am also looking forward to in Part 2 is for it to go from Kalm to Shinra Mansion to Rocket Town then to just before the storm on Midgar just before Part 3.
I just hope its lengthy enough to match part 1, said part had 18 chapters so I hope Rebirth does too. I always pride myself on getting as much bang for my buck as possible. Also, I hope that Sephiroth becomes playable for a bit
As far as Part 3 goes, I'm expecting that part of the game to finish everything up in a nice, neat little bow.
I'm not sure how many chapters part 3 is going to be but I want it to go at least 100 hours+ like your regular run of the mill Final Fantasy game. I definitely want the AP Up Materia to make a return in Part 2 & 3 because it made such a difference in part 1.
Not everyday that a Support Materia makes it way into the game especially one like this. At present, I am working on Lunar Silver Star Story on PS1 and after I beat it, I'm going after Crash Bandicoot 3.
I'm just basically trying to set myself up so I don't spend so much time trying to figure what I am going to play next. This is why I love my job because I can work as little or as much as I want which leaves me a lot of time to do a lot of things like write, track down my music for my music player etc.
I know this seems a little unlikely, but in the event that Final Fantasy VII Remake have a part 4, I hope it'll be as good as part 3. So my final thoughts on this is that Part 2 is coming next winter and I hope its as good as part 1 was.
I do miss playing my PS5 but I decided that once I start working on a game for a specific console, I'm not stopping until those games are beat. But, guys listen, be on the lookout for Part 2, Rebirth next winter; that game is going to be lit.
