Reading Time: < 1 minutesOther services like Apple News+ and Apple Arcade are also seeing an increase.
Apple TV+ subscribers will soon pay 30 percent more per month. Effective immediately, Apple is increasing the monthly price from $6.99 to $9.99.
This is the first time since October 2022 that prices have increased. The service originally cost $4.99 per month. The price for those who subscribe to the annual model will also have their prices raised accordingly from $69 to $99.
Apple has announced several additional price changes across all of its subscription services, including Apple News+ and Apple Arcade.
Apple’s news service will go from $9.99 to $12.99 and Apple Arcade will go from $4.99 to $6.99.On top of that, the entire Apple One bundle, which includes all these services, is also increasing:
-
Individual: $16.95 per month to $19.95 per month
-
Family: $22.95 per month to $25.95 per month
-
Premier: $32.95 per month to $37.95 per month
While the news of price hikes is never fun, it seems Apple has been gearing up for this. News recently broke that the company is planning on a major overhaul of its TV app, turning it into its dream streaming hub. Apple’s goal is to make the TV app into a one-stop shop for shows, movies, rentals, and more—basically what iTunes had been for years before the streaming revolution took over. Apple’s price hike also mirrors other recent increases by Netflix and Disney.
